Synopsis
Halfway between poetry and realism, A Farm Between Light and Night tells the everyday life of André (64 years old) and Marie-Thérèse (70), their children and their animals of all species (furred and feathered creatures). A small and eclectic world where hard working, dancing and laughing are part of a regular day in the Ferme de la Barrière, although the farm is going to close. Those documentary portraits implicitly provide the opportunity for active reflection about the future of farmers, their traditional way of life that bears the brunt of regulations, standards and other controls.
