Synopsis
The Burkina Faso, like many countries in the West African sub-region that finds its natural resources depleted. Drought, sedentary populations, intensive farming of coton, chemical fertilizers and pesticides are all factors explaining this phenomenon. If nothing is done to stop this process, it is feared an ecological disaster in years to come.
