Synopsis
This is the story of Ilya who was given up for adoption twenty years ago, and found a new home with his adoptive mother in France. Last year, the young Frenchman came back to Bulgaria to visit his biological mother and 7 brothers and sisters in one the gypsy ghettoes of Sofia. Quite a few children were adopted all over the world while shooting The Long Way Home. Bulgaria is the only country member of EU donor of children for international adoption.
