Synopsis
Late 2009 and early 2010 were marked by a series of property demolitions and forced evictions in and around Beijing Art District. A young director happened to be in the area filming. Zheng Kuo’s documentary is a record of the artists who were forced from their properties, and the methods they used peaceful sit-ins, public demonstrations, and public artworks to try to keep their space and possibilities to work and create.
