Synopsis
“Earning $40,000 and going to Italy to open a farm” is the project of OneDollar, one of Sakawa’s protagonists. In Ghana, hundreds of people are using sakawa, an Internet financial scam. Ben Asamoah introduces us to this community of fraudsters who share their experience and question our point of view. If Europe has been plundering the African continent for centuries, aren’t young Ghanaians just exploiting the resources at their disposal?
