Synopsis
When Rana and Muhkles are forced to flee the war in Syria in a desperate search for a stable and secure future for their family, they are separated from their children. Rana is in Denmark, Muklhes lives in Canada and their sons Jad and Nidal, aged 11 and 17 years old, are alone in Turkey. Through small daily life captures from video calls and home films, director Mia Jargil draws an intimate portrait of a family facing a kafkaesque bureaucracy, struggling against physical distance to maintain family ties across border.
