Synopsis
At the passage of the second millennium, in the cold light of the Kremlin, we are placed in the position of voyeur at the heart of Vladimir Putin’s ascent to power. Precious close-up images of characters such as Yelstin, Gorbachev and Putin himself follow one another, while the director’s voice reveals key information, obtained thanks to his privileged position. The haunting music throws us into what resembles a spy movie where Putin’s games of false pretence mute the ghosts of the Soviet past.
