Synopsis
The desperate inhabitants of a Ukrainian town work every day in small illegal mines. They dig everywhere: in abandoned mines, under the cellars of demolished building, and even in their own gardens. 15-year-old Yura is one of these illegal miners despite being the grandson of the former director of a once huge Soviet factory. Grown up by necessity, he replaces his parents and provide for the family and especially for the future of his two sisters.
