Synopsis
Six years after the opening of the Kalsaka mine in northeastern Burkina Faso, the situation is bitter. Despite all the hopes for development, gold has not shone for Kalsaka. The mine is closing and leaving behind a priceless legacy of social and environmental catastrophe. Through the storyteller’s declamation, courageous men and women fight for reparations and become the actors and actresses of a contemporary western.
