Synopsis
This film is about a Turkish teacher who teaches Turkish to Kurdish children in an isolated village. Not only do the children not speak Turkish but the teacher doesn’t understand a word of Kurdish. The teacher is an exile in his own country and must face the loneliness of being immersed in a culture and community that are still foreign to him. Little by little, he ans the community learn to communicate and understand each other. Filmed over the course of a year, this documentary is proof of the human capacity to adapt to problems of communication, culture and language.
