Synopsis
In a Chinese society where there are 30 million more men than women, the government has put immense pressure on women to marry early. Three Chinese women, despite their flourishing careers, still live with an inescapable prejudice: “Leftover Women” – a term used in China to describe educated women in their mid-twenties who are not married. These women have to build their professional careers while facing multiple pressures. How to put an end to this inequality and these circulating stereotypes?
