Synopsis
A few months ago, Guandong became a security guard at the Beijing Central Musical Conservatory : his fourteen-year-old son just passed the entrance exam to study French Horn. But their common dream is that the teenager will manage to go abroad. In the meantime, the family home in Jinan, has just been flattened and they now have to live in the conservatory. Nobody knows about their filiation. Yet, as a gatekeeper, Guandong watches after his son.
