Synopsis
Almost 45 years ago, in Bourgas, Bulgaria, all local fishermen and their boats were driven away to the opposite side of the bay. That was the beginning of the fishermen’s village and its 2,000 residents – a place and people of an unclear status for the last half a century. At first, honoring the lack of legal rights to build better facilities, the fishermen lived their dog’s life in miserable huts. Since the fall of communism in 1989, the authorities and the new riches have built enormous houses leaving less and less space for the fishermen. Nevertheless, the village is still illegal … In spite of its unregulated status, there the unique spirit of friendship and jokers still live…
