Synopsis
Through the Andes, the Amazon Rainforest and the Pacific coast, we discover the Ecuadorian communities. Ecuador is becoming more and more touristic, yet it is still preserved from the mass. We visit four communitarian touristic facilities, which dependent on three different organizations. The first, Fundecol, was founded 20 years ago to protect mangrove swamp and the villages that depend on them. It shows tourists their everyday life. Ricancie was created in 1993 by Amazonian Quechua communities for visitors to discover their culture. Finally, MCCH, which was founded by an Italian Father in 1985, trains some communities on how to manage touristic centres, according to fair trade principles.
