Synopsis
Haunted by the images of the factory in which he worked for 30 years, Marc Coton meets his former colleagues in an attempt to answer the question left open by the sudden closure of the industrial flagship: “What has become of us now that the factory has closed?” In the course of this introspective journey, Marc, now unemployed, not only faces up to his past, but also analyses the state of the labour market in a former industrial city. As he does so, we glimpse fragments of everyday life, reunions, huge and mysterious tools, a ridiculous fanfare, mocking laughter and countless other reminders of a rich immaterial heritage.
