Synopsis
Chendgu, China today. Factory number 420 and its model industrial city disappear, making war for a luxurious apartment complex, “24 City”. Full of relevant details, the film confronts and questions three generations, of eight people, from former workers to the new rich. Between the older people’s nostalgia of yesterday’s socialism and the young people’s desire for success, their individual and transgenerational stories outline the great history of China’s transition.
