Synopsis
The Cave plunges us into the chaotic daily life of Amani Ballor, a doctor specialising in paediatrics who works in an underground hospital in the town of Ghouta, not far from Damascus, which is bombed daily by the regime’s army and Russian planes. By highlighting a woman, Feras Fayyad promotes the feminist cause and depicts the struggle of women in a world governed by the tyranny of patriarchy.
