Synopsis
The region surrounding lake Turkana, on the Kenya-Ethiopia border, is considered the “Cradle of Humankind”. Million-year-old primate fossils were discovered there. But who are the locals living there now, and what is their relationship with nature? Iiris Härmä, together with researchers from the University of Helsinki, studied the Daasanach people’s relationship with their natural environment through the telling of traditional animal stories.
