Millenium Festival’s new Cine-club, in collaboration with Screenbox and Cinergie, returns on Friday, September 26.
To open this new season, we are pleased to present The Lost Children by Michèle Jacob, a powerful and intimate film that delves into childhood wounds and the shadows that haunt us into adulthood. Blending fantasy and reality, the director explores buried fears and the resilience that can transcend them.
SYNOPSIS
Audrey (10) and her siblings wake up in an isolated house in the forest and realize that their father is gone. They try to return home but get lost in the forest which appears to be an endless loop. Trapped in the house, Audrey must fight the beast that haunts her to save her siblings from going mad.

BIOGRAPHY
Michèle Jacob is a Belgian director and screenwriter who first gained recognition with her short film July 96, selected at numerous international festivals such as Palm Springs, Cinema Jove, and Moscow. In 2024, she directed her debut feature The Lost Children, which won the award for Best Cinematography at BRIFF. This year, her first series, Arcanes, co-created with Benjamin Dessy, premiered on September 11th at 8:30 PM on La Une.
