Synopsis

Shakespeare’s King Lear is delicately remodelled into Queen Lear in the hands of a travelling theatre troupe of Turkish peasant women. They travel on the dusty and perilous roads that lead to the remotest villages in the mountains, where even drinking water is hardly accessible.
