CHOOSE ME /AMCHILINI/

Synopsis

In Boutefil, on the edge of the Chadian desert, a traditional ceremony obliges women who have been single for too long to choose their husbands to ward off certain fates. In these times of women's revolt, it's an opportunity to consider women's rights in our patriarchal societies. Questioning male/female relationships, generational conflicts, challenging authority and the desire for freedom are all about to change the tranquil course of the community.
