Director's Biography

Johanne VANDERSTEEN: Johanne comes from a city called Charleroi in Belgium. A city that host the biggest museum of fotography of Europe but is also a city with many social issues. Since she was a kid, she always was interrested into images, movies, and how to capture the beauty and the struggle of people. She starded filming while she was bike touring from Canada to Chile in 2013 and made a movie about it. "Flame" is her second movie. Flame won the selection board and school award 2023.
