AI WEIWEI’S UNSEEN MASTERCLASS AT BOZAR

Ai Weiwei is a Chinese dissident artist and a leading figure in the Chinese independent art scene. Ai Weiwei is a sculptor, filmmaker, photographer, writer and performer who is internationally known for his provocative and political art and performances. He is the figure of the opposition to the government and the emblem of freedom of expression in China.
For this 15th edition of the Millenium Festival, Ai WeiWei is the guest of honour and president of the jury. He will present his latest film Rohingya during a conference screening on 27 March at 7.30 pm at Bozar. The screening will be preceded by a talk with Pierre Simon Gutman.

The Millenium Festival is particularly honoured to welcome such an essential figure of contemporary creation, an artist of international stature who auscultates and makes visible the injustices, the invisible realities, the oppressions of modern capitalism. A work that never ceases to expose the workings of domination and evokes the history of his country and the ghosts that inhabit it.
