Synopsis

In 1949, Raymond Maufrais, aged 23, left to cross all of Guyana alone. He never returned from this expedition and if an Indian Emerillon had not discovered in 1951, by a miraculous chance, his notebook, we would never have known what had happened to him. Raymond Maufrais’ diary upsets explorer Eliott Schonfeld. Page after page, he sees himself loving her as a friend, despite the 70 years that separate them. So he decides to try this impossible expedition again, to finish it, to finish Maufrais’ dream.

Director's Biography

Eliott Schonfeld is an explorer, writer and director. He contracted adventure fever in Australia in 2011. Eliott was 19, and it was the first time he had traveled alone. By accident, he finds himself alone in an Australian rainforest for several days. There he discovers fatigue and hunger but above all the wild nature. From that time on, He never wanted to leave her.
