International Competition and Objectif d'Or

This competition highlights films that deal with the major issues of our time, while overturning our vision of the world and that stand out for the quality and originality of their directors' eyes. These sensitive and touching films will introduce you to characters determined to have an impact on the world around them. The documentary that carries its message with the greatest strength and authenticity will receive the Golden Objective.

América: "America is the moving and inspiring story of three brothers gathered to care for their charismatic 93-year-old grandmother, América. This screening will take place on Tuesday, March 26 at 9:15 pm at the Cinéma Aventure.

A Thousand Girls like Me: "Khatera, a 23-year-old Afghan woman who has been sexually abused for years by her father, decides to file a complaint against him". This screening will take place in the presence of the director on Wednesday, March 27 at 7pm at the Cinéma Vendôme.

Children of the Snowland: "In the mountain villages of Nepal, from the age of four, some children are sent to the capital, Kathmandu, to study. At 16, three teenagers are back on the trek to their homes. This screening will take place on Tuesday, March 26 at 8:30 pm at the Cinéma Vendôme.

Coeur de Pierre: "After an exhausting journey of several years from his native Afghanistan, Ghorban arrived in France. Alone and clandestinely, at the age of twelve. Claire Billet and Olivier Jobard followed him for eight years. This screening will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:15pm at the Cinéma Aventure and on Thursday, March 28th at 8:30pm at the Cinéma Galeries. This second screening will be attended by directors and members of the Belgian Red Cross Farid Khali (Director of the reception centres for unaccompanied foreign minors in Jette and Uccle) and Alexandra Prijot (Coordination of Educational Tools & Awareness in the Department for the Reception of Asylum Seekers).

Dark Eden: "In search of an answer to the question "What is the price for a better life?", Jasmin Herold explores Fort McMurray in Canada's far north, home to the world's largest industrial project and third largest oil reserve. This screening will take place on Sunday 24 March at 4pm at the Cinéma Vendôme and will be followed by a debate with Marie Arena (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament) and Marc Lemaire (Founder of Group One). A second screening will take place on Thursday, March 28 at 8:45 pm at the Cinéma Vendôme in the presence of the directors.

Easy Lessons (Könnyü Leckék): "Kafiya Said Mahdi, a 17-year-old Somali refugee in Budapest, fled a forced marriage thanks to her mother.
