Jac has everything he needs to be happy; land with horses, chickens, a vegetable garden... A little earthly paradise that he shares with his wife Ria, and which he considers to be his life's work. Unfortunately, he suffers from an incurable cerebral sclerosis which has created irreversible damage and which time will hardly improve. Jac knows that he will gradually lose his memory and that the damage will drastically alter his behaviour. However, he is determined to face adversity for as long as he can with courage and dignity.
Lost in Memories is a striking and moving film, combining strength and fragility, and is distinguished by its frontal sobriety and immense modesty. Its unabashed realism avoids the pitfall of any pathetic outbursts, but the human power of its character literally pierces the heart.
