Synopsis: 

Dutch director Alex Pistra, born Karim Alexander Ben Hassen, is 25 years old when he receives a letter from his Tunisian father he hasn’t seen since he was a child. Alex decides to go to Tunisia in an attempt to build a relationship with his widened family and convinces his Swiss halfsister to follow him. A 10-year adventure to reconnect with cultural differences and his identity. What role is he supposed to play as a child of two cultures?

Bio Director: 

Born in 1979, Alex Pistra studied audiovisual communication at Leeuwarden, and then completed a Master in Cinema at the University of Groningen. He directed several short films and adverts before his first feature, Die Welt (2013), which has been selected at numerous festivals, including the Seattle International Film Festival. Bezness as Usual (2016) is his second feature film.
