The earth is blue as an orange

Films

Belgian Premiere

Synopsis

Anna and her four children live in a small town in the “red zone” of Donbass, Ukraine, destroyed by the bombing. They cope with a life shattered and disrupted by war, where it is impossible for the children to go to school and the family is forced to sleep in the basement. Despite such tragedy, the family keeps a positive attitude, as they decide to make films about their daily life, and their real-life misadventures take on the appearance of fiction. An unexpected and meaningful point of view that makes us see love, friendship and hope in the midst of an extreme situation. At the end of the day, they think to themselves:  “ff everyone leaves, who will be there to rebuild the city?’
