Belgian Pitching Session
The Millenium Festival supports documentary creation and organizes a pitching session for young Belgian filmmakers! Are you a film school graduate or a young director? Do you have an idea for a film that is close to your heart and want to give yourself the best chance to see it succeed? Come and meet professionals and experts from the Belgian film world, producers, decision-makers and distributors, to help you achieve this!
The Belgian pitching session is intended for young filmmakers with a first or second film project. It will allow you to meet producers, decision-makers and distributors to help you develop and explore the potential of your project as well as to understand how to put together a good file and to whom to address it.
Specialists will help you prepare your pitching and discussions with decision makers.
Awards
The three best projects will be awarded with different prizes.
- The RTBF will give 5000€ cash for the developpment of the project.
- The Triangle 7 studio will give 2000€ in postproduction services.
- The Chocolat Noisette studio will give 2000€ in postproduction services.
- The Charbon studio will give
- 4 hours of conformation work
- 2 days colour-grading (studio + colour-grader) in Brussels (if screening) or Liège
- 1 master pro resolution export
Program
o Presentation of the participating speakers and professionals.
o Pitching session
o Individual encounters: based on a speed dating model, participants will have 20 minutes to present their project to each of the professionals.
Conditions of participation
The project must be the director’s first or second feature film. The project must be a Belgian production.
