Thousands of visitors come every day to the zoo of the Iranian city of Mashhad to see Bengal tigress Maya and her trainer Mohsen. Since he raised the animal, he is the only person Maya listens to, and both of them formed an astonishing relationship. When Maya has to leave the zoo temporarily for the film, she is able to move freely for the first time and reclaim her natural instincts. But the disillusionment of the return and the discovery of the horrific incidents in which the zoo is involved will give another twist to their long relationship. This is an opportunity for the filmmakers, who had incredible access to the protagonists and the tiger, to question the thorny issue of captivity of wild animals.
