Synopsis:

Climate change has a very concrete impact on the 375 residents of Newtok. The members of that small community from Alaska watch their homes disappear into rolling seas as winter storms steal their coastline and melting permafrost erodes the edges of their town. They have known for decades that their future was in peril. They have seen the land dropping away on all sides and the river growing stronger year after year... Tom Burke follows the community as they struggle to maintain their the traditional Yup'ik culture, whose way of life is based on hunting and fishing, while building a new life on a safer land.
