REPORT OF THE 12th EDITION OF THE MILLENIUM FESTIVAL

The team of the Millennium International Documentary Film Festival regrets to announce the postponement of its 12th edition, which was scheduled to take place from March 27 to April 4 in Brussels. This decision is a direct consequence of the situation linked to the spread of COVID19.

The Millenium Festival will host its 12th edition from 23 September to 01 October 2020.

Indeed, the presence of almost all the directors invited to the festival, who had to come from the 4 corners of the world, is made impossible due to the restrictions imposed by this exceptional situation at the global level. "This decision was not easy to take but it was necessary as we could not envisage organizing a festival of the scale of the Millenium, which sheds light on the world through the camera of committed filmmakers, without them being able to come and present their films, meet the public and engage in dialogue with it," emphasizes its artistic director, Zlatina Rousseva.

"Pushing back the frontiers" is the main theme of this year's edition, which is more topical than ever. These sometimes invisible frontiers lead us to question and reshape our behaviour every day. The documentaries presented during the Millenium Festival explore these essential questions, and the situation we are experiencing today shows us how essential they are for understanding our world.

Also, for people who have already bought their ticket or pass, these will remain valid or can be refunded.

For security reasons, team members are teleworking and can be reached by e-mail.
