Honeyland portrays Hatidze, an exceptional woman living alone with her mother in a deserted hamlet in the mountains of Macedonia.
As a beekeeper, her life is punctuated by the honey harvest for which she has established a rule that she follows meticulously in order to respect the balance of nature: she never takes more than half of the honey. The arrival of a nomadic Turkish family disrupts this harmony.
