MILLENIUM FESTIVAL
International Documentary Films Festival
Edition 2010
June 12th - 18th

In 2000, at the dawn of the new millennium, the United Nations has adopted 8 ambitious goals to achieve by 2015. The 8 Millennium Development Goals, highlights the great ideals of humanity, involves concrete actions to fight against poverty, hunger, infant mortality, endemic diseases, while promoting access to the education and health care, gender equality, environmental sustainability ... But six years before the deadline, the news are dominated by the word crisis, be it financial, food, related migration or climate change.

The development issues are local, regional and global. In a society where all these aspects are interrelated, it seems important to understand the context in which we operate.

Through the documentary film, the festival wants to document the Millennium. He wants to encourage reflection, it will help to realize that behind these actions, there are peoples and communities with their own history and their feelings.

Through quality films, often forgotten, we hope to inform, to educate, to challenge a wide audience, young and old, whether or not initiated or involved in issues of the 8 Millennium Development Goals.

Fifty international documentary films will be selected, they will all have a link with the 8 Millennium Development Goals.
