"5 O'Clock" Meetings
From the 27th to the 31st of March 2017 at the Pain Quotidien (Galerie de la Reine 11, 1000 Bruxelles)
WHAT ARE THE “5 O’CLOCK” meetings ?
During the week of the Festival, from the 27th to the 31st of March between 15:30 and 18:00 at the Pain Quotidien, meetings will be organised for professionals and Festival guests.
In a welcoming and friendly setting around a cup of coffee, presentations and thematic discussions will give rhythm to these meetings. Taking the programme’s films as examples and discovering the experiences of their teams, we will discover different processes of direction and production, and will also discuss financing and diffusion. Eventually, these meetings will encourage participants to collectively question the documentary cinema of today.
CALL FOR PROJECTS AND SUPPORT FOR THE YOUNG BELGIAN CINEMA
The two first days of these meetings will be especially dedicated to filmmakers who have a documentary film project in development. The participants will be invited to present their project to audiovisual professionals from the Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles and specialists from the field of documentaries. The professional workshops will be composed of presentations and individual “pitching” sessions.
Will be here to meet and welcome the participants: Ateliers de Production, producers, representatives of the Commission de selection de Film and of the RTBF, among others.
