Synopsis: 

Uncle Tony, Three Fools and the Secret Service is a fascinating and controversial documentary film about one of the most prestigious animation film-makers in Bulgaria, Donyo Donev and his relationship with the former Bulgarian secret police. Through this artist, this documentary exposes us control and corruption that prevailed during the communist era in Bulgaria in the 1960s and ‘70s.

Bio Director: 

Mina Mileva’s animated films were officially selected at many festivals and received awards. She entered the British animation industry in 1996 and worked as animation director/animator and line producer for the BBC, UK Film Council and others. In 2008 Mina set up her own production company Activist38.

 

Vesela Kazakova is an actor and producer. She is the only Bulgarian actress with Silver George Award in Moscow and Berlinale Shooting Stars Award. She turned to film producing and directing with Mina Mileva with whom she has set together the production company Activist38.
