More than 80 documentary films, among them 55 Belgian premieres, 4 competitions, and numerous events and guests will be on the agenda for the 10th edition of the Millenium Festival, from 20 to 30 March 2018 in Brussels. Put it on your agenda too!
The International Competition is a selection of the best documentaries from across the globe. These films have been chosen for the original perspective they offer on the issues of our world. An international jury of prestigious filmmakers will give the Objectif d’Or to the documentary delivering its message with the greatest force and authenticity
The "Belgian Cinema" program offers you a panorama of the best contemporary Belgian documentaries of the year: sensitive, audacious and diverse. In this program, the newest and most outstanding films have been selected to join the Belgian Cinema Competition. The “Belgian Critics Prize” will be awarded to the Best Belgian Documentary; the SCAM will give the “Best Scenario Prize” and the Millenium Festival will give an Award to the “Best Young Talent”.
Labour is a major part of our daily lives and is constantly evolving. Globalized economy and robotization of production are changing our relationship to work around the world. This program provokes a reflection on the world of work and business. The most outstanding film addressing this theme in the most original and sensitive way are presented in the "World's Workers" Competition.
Because the Festival considers the participation of young people as vital, the "Young Vision" Competition has become an essential part of the event. This competition allows young people to discover films they don’t usually see and to develop their critical vision towards the important challenges of our time. A jury of young cinema lovers will reward the best film of the competition.
